In recent years, according to the Directives of the Church, the emphasis of the General Council has been placed on the Professionalization of the Management of the Resources and Heritage of the Congregation.

Br. Claude Grégoire, General Treasurer since 2022, presented the Accounts of the Institute this Wednesday. The Capitulants also heard the prospective analysis through Actuarial Work for 2050 from Mr. Yves Delarra, Director of the FIC Expertise Firm.

This Company – whose origin is directly linked to the Brothers in France – was mandated by the Congregation to carry out an Audit, Assess Financing Capacities and provide Economic Support.

The Role of the General Chapter is to establish Fundamental Directions in Economic Matters which will then be followed by Decisions by the Brother Superior General and his Council. The Capitulants appreciated the Economic Presentation of the Two Speakers.

Furthermore, an Economic Affairs Council has been implemented by the General Council for more than a year, comprising Brothers and Professionals from Canada, Spain, Uganda and France. Brother Nicolas Le Meilleur also provides Accounting Monitoring from the Casa de Rome in conjunction with the General Treasurer.
