The 8 Novices from West and Central Africa made their first vows in the Institute of the Brothers on Tuesday, August 25.

The new professed are the Brothers:

  • Christophe MATEYENDOU (TOGO)
  • Jean SAMBIENI (BENIN)
  • Ricardo GBADOU (BENIN)
  • Nicolas NIASSE DIOUF (SENEGAL)
  • Janvier SUNGU MAVANGU (RDCONGO)
  • René ANIBIGULE (RDCONGO)
  • Jean-Paul NTABANGANYIMANA (RWANDA)

The Eucharistic celebration took place in the chapel of Daluag, Spiritual Centre of the diocese of Dapaong -North TOGO- It was presided by Father François-Xavier MOYEME BOMBOMBOMA, parish priest of the Saint Paul Apostle parish of the nations where the Novices carry out their apostolic activities, in the presence of the Formators : Brothers Eric MUGISA, Novice Master and Philippe LAUNAY, assistant Novice Master and many other Brothers.

« Isn’t it a great joy to welcome newly professed Brothers in our family? Our joy was great to see our young Brothers pronounce their religious vows at the end of a year of Novitiate formation marked by the difficulties associated with the pandemic Covid-19. Thank you for praying for us. »

The newly professed are now all on holiday with their families, except those from Central Africa who are now at Lomé community. All will join Abidjan on September 10, to continue their formation at the Scholasticate.

Together with  other Brothers, in Dapaong, Togo, on August 25.

The new Novices will enter the Novitiate shortly. Congolese Novices were unable to travel on time due to travel restrictions related to covid-19. We await their arrival before the opening of the year of formation at the Novitiate. They will arrive in a few days.”
