Philippines – San José : 7 Young People Pronounced their First Vows, and 7 Others entered the Novitiate

“It was not in St Brieuc, in 1819,  but 206 years later ,  in San José (Philippines), that same 6th of June. I want to talk about the First Religious Profession of the Brothers Endo, Iwan, Harris, Yano, Steven, Risky and Charles.

The ‘First’ in Our District of Asia! They could have been 12 like the Apostles; but they were Only 7, like the Deacons in Acts (Acts) That was already not bad!

That Saturday, in the Chapel of St Anthony’s College, the Novices entered, surrounded each by the Two Associate Members (LMBA)… for lack of having their Parents from Indonesia, they were still able to follow the Celebration Online, via Facebook!

Then came the moment of Personal Commitment to follow Christ in the Footsteps of Our Founders… a moment of deep Recollection for all,  followed by a moment of Joy manifested when the New Professed, after leaving the Chapel, returned , dressed in the White Cassocks of La Mennais Brother! At the End of the Mass, Photo Session with the various Groups involved in their last year’s Formation (Teachers, Children, LMBA…)

After the Mass, a Delicious Meal prepared by the Associate Members.  Our Final Thanks was Addressed to all those who participated in the Success of that Feast, but First and Foremost to the LORD.  “Keep faithful those you called Today to follow You.” They told you ‘FIAT’ that Morning, we tell you with Mary: ‘MAGNIFICAT’ this Afternoon!

… That same Evening, a more Modest Celebration at the Community, but no less important for the Future of Our District: The Entry into the Novitiate of 5 Postulants (Charles, Thio, Ertus, Vem and Jesteng), all 5 Indonesians, and the Celebration Presided by Bro.  Gildas Prigent, Brother Visitor of the District of St François Xavier (Asia)

Entry into the Novitiate of  5 Indonesian Young People
