As part of an ERASMUS Exchange Project, 19 Students from the Mennaisian San Gregorio Primary School in the Town of Aguilar de Campoo, located in Northern Spain, spent a Week in March with their Breton Correspondents at the School.
The students of the last years of Primary School began an Exchange Project at the beginning of the School year through Presentation and Description Activities in English. They worked on the Language and Digital Tools for all of those Tasks. The Active Participation of Manuel, a Young Colombian Civic Service Student who arrived at the School in November, facilitated the Completion of that Project.

The young Spaniards, hosted by the School’s Families, fully shared their Correspondent’s Daily Life. A Friendly Evening was enjoyed by the Children, their Parents, and the School’s Partners who came to meet those Well-Supported Tourists.
After Shared Activities at School, the French and Spanish Students discovered together some of the Most Significant Places in Finistère: Meneham, Quimper, and the Pointe St Mathieu Lighthouse and the 39-45 War Memorial Museum in Plougonvelin.

The young people from Folgoët also visited their Correspondents from May 14th to 21st. They stayed with Families and experienced Spanish Life. They had no idea how different the way of Life was on the other side of the Pyrenees. They, in turn, discovered the Local Culture through the Language, Romanesque Art, History, and Landscapes of the Region. They also learned the Jota, the Folk Dance of Northern Spain, and visited the Cities of Burgos, Santander, and San Sebastian.
Bretons and Spaniards have arranged to meet again Next Year as the Exchange Program continues. Some Families have even planned to meet that Summer!
