CARDINAL TAGLE. “What Bread are you looking for?” Jesus is the Bread of Life” assures the Pro-Prefect for Evangelization

Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization within the Vatican since June 5, 2022, Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle celebrated the Eucharist with the Capitulants this Tuesday, April 16th ,2024.

Filipino, he was named Archbishop of Manila in 2011. On November 24th , 2012, he was created Cardinal by Benedict XVI. In December 2019, he was called to Rome as Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples.

“Congratulations on your progress on the New Wording of your Rule of Life,

he emphasized with a smile before continuing: What are we looking for?

We wait for Bread from one Meal to the Next, but the only Bread is that which Jesus the Christ gives us.

However, sometimes we look elsewhere, we wait for something else.

With Him we will Never be Hungry.

Whoever receives Jesus becomes like Him.

Through your Mission, you help Children and Young People to receive Christ.

Jesus lives in us. This is the Prayer that I make mine for you.
