Haiti – Port-au-Prince: Commitment to the Planet

On Thursday, April 30th, 2026, the Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague School experienced an Exceptional Ecological Morning in its Primary Section. There were no Classes, but the Day was filled with Socio-Cultural Activities.

The Meeting began, as usual, with a Presentation by Young University Students in Agronomy. They raised Awareness among the Students about the Importance of Protecting the Environment and shared Practical Advice on Nature Conservation.

Then, Mr. Stenio’s Children presented a Play combining Text and Song. Their Performance captivated the Audience by blending Entertainment with an Environmental Message.

Next, some Students participated in Planting Activities under the Guidance of Brother Jerry Jean-Pierre, Teachers, and University Students. That hands-on Experience allowed them to put their Newly Acquired Knowledge into Practice and Transform the School into a Green Space and a Place for Civic Comitment.

Finally, Pipo’s Group intervened to Liven up the End of the Morning, bringing a Festive and Cultural Touch to that Day dedicated to Ecology.

Those Series of Activities demonstrated that Environmental Education could be Experienced in many Ways: Through Knowledge, Art, Action, and Celebration. The Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague Institution thus offered its Students a Comprehensive Experience, where Commitment to the Planet was expressed as much through Hands as through Mind and Heart.
