On February 19th and 20th, 120 Young People from Spanish Mennaisian Schools and their Companions (Students, Teachers, and Brothers) met in the Basque City of Bilbao to participate in the 9th Meeting of Mennaisian Delegates and deepen their role in Leading the Movement.
The “MeneJovenes” are Middle and High School Students (ages 12-18) who Volunteer and are chosen by their Peers to collaborate in leading School Pastoral Activities and participate in School Events and Activities, particularly those related to Solidarity and Personal and Religious Growth. They promote those Activities, make them Dynamic, and are the main Actors.

They are role Models in their Schools, and that Annual gathering allowed them to recharge, learn (this year’s theme was Prayer in its Various Forms), and Experience Joy in Service, particularly through Participation in Diverse Experiences with Local Organizations. It was also a time to celebrate Being and Living Together, to get to know one another, and to Relax among the Young Mennaisians.

Thank you MeneJovenes for Your Work! Keep up the Good Work in Developing Mennaisian Centers!

There are many Meetings and Opportunities to create a Mennaisian Family.
The Theme of that 9th Meeting was PRAYER. We shared Experiences, Knowledge Games, Presentation Videos, Prayer Workshops, Fun Activities (Godlyplay), Times of Adoration, HARA, an Art Space, and Musical Creations…
All of that was to help us grow in Silence, Prayer, Contemplation, Reflection, Admiration of Beauty and the Expression of Our Inner Life… The Young People were Fantastic!

Friday was dedicated to Service, with Volunteer Work with People from Caritas, Retirement Homes, Day Centers, the “Trisomy 21” Foundation and the “Soup Kitchen” Association.

We concluded with a Workshop where they made T-shirts adorned with the Prayer Symbol 🙏, which they decorated with Great Enthusiasm and Talent. We celebrated their Departure to continue their Work as Menejoven, bringing Light to Our Schools and Homes.
