TANZANIA: MOSHI: INAUGURATION OF THE DINING ROOM AND KITCHEN AT THE MENNAIS VTC

Arrival of German Sponsors at Kilimanjaro-Moshi International Airport (KIA)

On July 18th, 2025, the Mennaisian Family of the Moshi Brothers’ Center in Tanzania – Brothers, Vocational Training Center Staff, Students, and German Guests gathered for that Highly Anticipated Event.

The LA MENNAIS VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE (VTC), located within the Brothers’ Centre in Moshi (Tanzania), was conceived in 2005, but implemented in 2007, as a Joint Project between the Brothers of Christian Instruction and their German Partners known as HELFEN MACHT SCHULE.

The School currently has 45 Students, including 39 Boys and 6 Girls. The Center relies primarily on German Donors and Friends. Its operations are partly funded by Small Income-Generating Projects and a Small Financial contribution in the form of Tuition Fees. However, that is not enough to ensure its Full Funding.

The Dining Room and Kitchen Project cost a total of 52,625,150 Tanzanian Shillings (approximately €17,000) from inception to completion, in addition to other costs such as Electrical Installation.

We are deeply grateful to the HELFEN MACHT SCHULE, the German Government, the German People, and other Partners who supported the Mission and Objectives of the La Mennais VTC Vocational Training Center Project for their commitment.

Lunch after the Inauguration Ceremony.

Mutual trust made the difference! We are proud to share that Success with all those who needed quality Education in a given Environment. We look forward to continue Our Journey with Our Partners, to further develop that Project and achieve even greater things in the near future.

Testimony prepared by Brother Benedict Odhiambo
