Pre-Chapter Assembly:
As part of the Traditional Christmas Assembly, the Mennaisian Brothers and Laypeople of Spain celebrated the Pre-Capitular Assembly of the Province on December 26th in Bilbao.
Around 6 Key Themes (Experience of God, Mennaisian Family, Mission, Pastoral Care of Vocations, Life of Prayer, Fraternal Life), all Participants worked on Synthesizing the Reflection carried out by all the Communities during the Year 2025, in order to define Objectives and Lines of Action that could serve as a Reference for the Brothers of the Chapter.
Pre-Capital Assembly
During the last Sharing Session, we witnessed the Enthusiasm and Hope that prevailed regarding the future of Mennaisian Life in the Province, and the Capacity to “look beyond.” Alfonso Blázquez Márquez
New Commitments from Mennaisian Lay Associates:
During the Thanksgiving Eucharist, Four Lay People said Yes, Freely and Joyfully, to become LAMs, with the deep desire to live and share the Charism received from Jean-Marie de la Mennais in their Daily Lives.
New Mennaisian Lay Associates
As New Mennaisian Lay Associates, we embraced that Commitment with Energy, Faith, and the Certainty that God called us to serve through Our Lay Vocation. We felt Accompanied and Strengthened by the Mennaisian Spirit, which inspired us to Educate, Love, and Innovate through simple and concrete actions within the diverse Mennaisian Communities. That step was not an end in itself, but the beginning of a Journey of Personal and Communal Growth, lived with Responsibility and Hope.

Letter from the Brothers of the Chapter:
Dear Mennaisian Brothers and Family: Having concluded that Period of Preparation for Our 2025 Provincial Chapter and once that was completed at Our recent Pre-Chapter Assembly in those last days of December, we wished to express Our Gratitude and Our Communion for the Journey undertaken.

Brothers of the Chapter
1.- THANKS FOR YOUR GENEROUS DEDICATION.
Throughout the Year, you have given your Time, Talent, Energy, and Enthusiasm to that Research. You have been involved, making that Reflection something dear to Your Hearts, you have given the Best of Yourselves… THANK YOU for saying “YES” to that Call from the Church and Our Congregation.

- THE VALUE OF SHARED WORK
The Wealth of proposals and the In-Depth Study of the Topics are not limited to Documents; they bear witness to a Vibrant Community. Working together on each Subject, within the Mennaisian Family, Lay People, and Communities of the Brothers, have allowed us to forge Bonds of Listening and Collaboration that strengthen Our Charism. Your external and engaged perspective have also been a Valuable Guide in that Process.

- MEMORIES AND CLOSENESS ON THE ROAD
Over the Past Few Months, we have shared Our Thoughts, Concerns, and Hopes. We cherish the Memory of Our Meetings and the Seriousness with which you embraced that Commitment. Together, we revisited Our History, the Path we have traveled, and the Mandate of Our Founders. We told one another: “Open your Eyes, to Look Beyond, and dream of a Shared Future.”
- NETWORKED WORK WITH OTHERS
We have not walked that Path alone. That Journey has been a Magnificent Mosaic where we have united the Work of the Laity and the Brothers, who, from different Places and Realities, have contributed their expertise. That Synodality—that S Journey—was the Fruit we could now begin to reap; the Congregation with its General Chapter in 2024, Our Provincial Chapters, the Documents of the Church, Our Rule of Life, and all the people who have guided us and showed us the Way in Our Aspirations and Priorities, have been a True Gift.
- UNITED IN PRAYER
We wanted to assure you that Your Mission does not end with the receipt of Your Proposals. Keeping them in mind and including them in Our Daily Prayers gives full meaning to Our Fraternity and Our Belonging to the GREAT MENNAISIAN FAMILY. May the Fruit of your efforts translate into a Better Life for Our Mennaisian Communities. Aware of Our Weaknesses, we are nonetheless filled with Gratitude and felt Chosen and sent on that Shared Path. That Path breathed New Life into Our Mission, for seeing that Lay People and Brothers dream together confirmed that we are One and the Same Great Family.
Warmest Greetings and Best Wishes for 2026.
