The MJFM (Youth Movement of the Mennaisian Family) of Tahiti participated in the General Assembly of the various Groups collaborating with the Diocesan Vocations Service (SDV). This was an important Meeting for our Movement, which aims to fully integrate its Activities into the Pastoral Dynamics of our Diocese.
That articipation stems from a simple Conviction: we cannot Support Young People individually. The Church invites us to Walk Together, in this Synodal Spirit desired and encouraged by Pope Francis: to Listen, Share our Experiences, Join Forces, and Build Together.

The MJFM already collaborates regularly with the SDV. We have participated in several of its Activities by proposing and leading Games for Young People. Being present at that Assembly allows us to Go Further: to get to know the other Stakeholders in the Diocese better, to Coordinate our Initiatives, to Share our Skills, and to Reflect together on the Needs of the Young People we support.
That approach deeply reflects our Mennaisian Identity. Following in the Footsteps of Jean-Marie de La Mennais, we want to reach out to Young People, Accompany them in their Human and Spiritual Growth, give them Responsibilities, and allow them to Discover their Talents.

Bishop Jean-Pierre Cottanceau, Archbishop of Papeete and Raita, President of the MJFM.
Our Summer Camps, Retreats, Prayer Times, large-scale Games, Vgils, and Solidarity Projects are all Places where a young person can Grow, Gain Confidence, Encounter Christ, and ask themselves: “What am I called to do? How can I use my Talents to Serve Others?”
Participating in the Dynamics of the SDV thus allows the MJFM to bring the Richness of its Mennaisian Charism while receiving that of other Movements, Services and Communities.
Because our Mission transcends the Boundaries of our Movements. We belong to the same Church and we share the same Responsibility: to Accompany Young People so that they find their Place, discover their Vocation and become, in turn, active Members of the Church and the World.
M. Raita TAURU, President of the MJFM.
