RWANDA – Gisenyi: District Assembly

After the Day of Celebration of the Perpetual Profession of 3 Brothers of the District (see Previous News) all the Brothers of the ND District of Kibeho met in Gisenyi for 2 Days of Assembly, around the Superior General, Brother Hervé Zamor.

An Initial Meeting during the Canonical Visit of the Superior General, at the beginning of 2026, had made it possible to Identify 5 Important Areas for the Life of the District.

– Perseverance in Religious Life

– Mennaisian Family

– Mission – Evangelization

– VJN: Vision Jeunesse Nouvelle

– District Self-Financing

During those Two Days, the 20 Brothers present, in Working Groups and in Plenary Assembly, revisited each of those Themes: Evaluation – Challenges – Perspectives…

The Assembly concluded with the Production of a Reference Document, covering each of the Key Areas and culminating in A Strategic Plan that would Guide the District’s Progress for the next 10 years.

More News coming soon… The Two Brothers Hervé would leave Gisenyi tomorrow, passing by the Shrine of Our Lady of Kibeho, Patron Saint of the District, and National Marian Shrine of Rwanda… then it would be a flight to Uganda for the start of the General Council (August 31st to September 3rd), the General Conference (from September 4th to 11th) and on September 5th : Celebration of 100 years of the Presence of the FIC in Uganda.
