SPAIN: 4 Brothers Celebrated 50 Years of Religious Life

On Sunday, July 26th, 2026, Four Brothers from the Province of Nuestra Señora del Pilar (Spain) celebrated their Golden Jubilee of Mennaisian Life. From left to right, Brothers Jesús Hidalgo, Carlos Capellán, Justino Santiago, and Nicolás Urreta.

 Guided by the Theme “Sustained by God’s Infinite Love”, the Brothers Nicolás Urreta, Jesús Hidalgo, Carlos Capellán and Justino Santiago Joyfully and Gratefully celebrated God’s Faithfulness to them throughout these 50 years since they entered the Novitiate in Nanclares de la Oca.

The Four Brothers Renewed their Vows during the Eucharist at 12:30 pm, Presided Over by the Fathers José Luis Iglesias, accompanied by Fathers José Luis Rodríguez and Jesús Marauri, Three Priests who are very close to them. It was a Moving Celebration, Rich in Thanksgiving and Emotion.

The Participants in that Province Celebration were numerous: Brother Miguel Aristondo, Brother Assistant General, the Families of the Jubilarians, the 50 Brothers of the Province, the Mennaisian Lay Associates and many other Members of the Mennaisian Family, including 40 Chaperones from the Mennaisian Summer Camps and 25 Young University Students from the Social Work Camp which had ended on Saturday the 25th.

 “Times are difficult, sow much”… such was the Message that Jean-Marie de la Mennais left us on that Beautiful day of Celebration of the Mennaisian Family in Spain.
