The Chapter of the Province of Saint Louis de Gonzague began on December 26th, 2025. Father Morachel Bonhomme, Provincial of the Salesians in Haiti, led the Opening Morning Retreat. He developed the theme “CALLED TO BE SERVANTS OF HOPE,” particularly emphasizing the link between Hope and Commitment, inviting us to integrate Hope as a lived Certainty, a concrete Commitment to Human Dignity, and a Guide for the Future, Transforming the Proclamation into Sustainable Action in the face of the World’s Challenges (Conflicts, Debt, etc.). At the end of the Retreat, we celebrated the Eucharist.
In the Afternoon, the Chapter Members, along with Outside Guests, gather in the Chapel for the Opening Ceremony of the Chapter. Symbols reminding us of Our Belonging, Our Consecration, and Our Mission to accompany us throughout this Chapter. These are: The Light, The Bible, The Rule of Life and The Logo.
In Procession, we then headed towards the Chapter Room.
Following the Opening Ceremony of the Provincial Chapter, Bro. Charles Coutard, President, proceeded with the Election of Officers. All 15 Members (Elected and Ex Officio) were present.
The chapter officers are:
- Presenter: Bro Valmyr DABEL (14 votes)
- Moderator: Bro Géniaud LAUTURE (13 votes)
- Secretary General: Bro. Rocky Jacob (15 votes)
Scrutineers: Bro Dufreine AUGUSTE (15 votes), Bro Roberson MATHIEU (14 votes).

After the Votes, the President declares the Provincial Chapter Open. Once the Officers were seated, the Chapter began with Presentations from the Panelists:
- Agénor CADET, Former Minister of National Education and Teacher at Saint Louis de Gonzague;
- Will Hodgson, Teacher at Saint Louis de Gonzague.
