The La Mennais Campus inaugurated its New Technical Building last Monday evening, May 12th, 2025, marking a Major Step in its Development and its Commitment to Innovative and Quality Teaching.

That Project, entitled “Living Together,” was part of a Dynamic of Modernization and Development of the School to better meet Current and Future Educational Needs. And without delay, Ms. Véronique Calas, the Head of the Lycée, announced in her Speech the Opening, starting Next Year, of a BTS* Maintenance of Systems – Option A: Production Systems Apprenticeship. A New Opportunity for young people in the area to Train for Promising Careers. * Higher Technician Certificate”

A Project entrusted to Local Companies
Work began on December 16th, 2022, and the choice was made to use Local, Breton, or Nearby Companies. The Project took place in a challenging context, as Renovation Work in the City Center continued at the same time. However, both Projects were ultimately completed.
The New Building—an Extension and Renovation—includes Technical Platforms for the Industry, IT, and Engineering Programs, as well as Shared Classrooms for Life and Earth Sciences (SVT), Modern Languages, School Life, and Laboratory Work. The Exterior Layout has been redesigned to secure the School and improve the quality of life for users and the Residents of Ploërmel. All that remains to be completed was the Entrance to the High School and the Overall Signage.

Many personalities participated in that Inauguration, including Mr. Le Diffon, the Mayor of Ploërmel, Bro Yannick Houssay, Provincial, Mr. Denis Chevrel, Secretary General of the Guardianship, Ms. Véronique Callas, Head of the School … and 4 High School Students representing the different Streams of the High School.

Father Gildas, Parish Priest of Ploërmel, blessed the New Premises, which Guests were able to explore in detail.
