Youth Meeting Don Bosco 2025: this Annual Event was successfully organized by Don Bosco Youth Services Shirimatunda-Moshi at Don Bosco Secondary School, Shirimatunda in Moshi, Tanzania, from March 1st to March 2nd 2025. Bro Benedict Odhiambo, Director of Vocation Ministry of St Michael the Archangel Province Arcángel (Kenya-Tanzania), participated and shared his testimony.
The event saw the participation of over 1,000 youth and 20 animators from over 20 different centers of Don Bosco, parishes and catholic schools. The theme of the Youth Meet was “Focusing on hope, we become pilgrims of hope with our colleagues” loosely translated from swahili “ Tukijikita katika matumaini tu mahujaji na wenzetu.”

The participants reflected on how focusing on hope can help plan for the future. The program also included various fun and interactive activities for the youth. The Youth Meet also had a spiritual focus, with a Holy Eucharist celebrated for Catholic participants and a spiritual animation conducted for non-Catholics. The event was graced by several esteemed guests most especially Vocational Directors and Vocational Promoters from many religious congregations since it was a fertile ground for vocation promotion.

Overall, the Don Bosco Youth Meet was a memorable and enriching experience for all participants, providing them with an opportunity to reflect on their dreams, hopes, engage in social outreach activities, and strengthen their spiritual foundation. The event was a great success and highlighted the importance of youth empowerment. We, the Brothers of Christian Instruction, were lucky enough to get an aspirant from the meeting who has since joined the first-year postulate program.
