What we lived, during the Mennaisian Week, at the Novitiate of Dapaong, in Togo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Gracia, a Novice from Congo, tells us the events lived with the community of the Novitiate during the Mennaisian <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-9884 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lamennais.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/IMG_0369-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"img_0369\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lamennais.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/IMG_0369-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.lamennais.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/IMG_0369-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.lamennais.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/IMG_0369-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.lamennais.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/IMG_0369-260x195.jpg 260w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Week, in Dapaong, Togo.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What makes us happy today, is nothing else than the experience of Jesus we do every day through the community life and through the contacts of the children during the sessions of catechism.<\/p>\n<p>The Mennaisian week was marked at the Novitiate by teachings centred on Father de la Mennais\u2019 life and on the history of the Congregation. These times of teachings helped us a lot, to know the Mennaisian spirituality.<\/p>\n<p>On 26<sup>th<\/sup> November, in the morning, we made the traditional Mennaisian race: 15 km of running around the city of Dapaong. Five runners &#8211; four Novices and their Master, Bro Jean, accompanied by two cyclists \u2013 Bros. Philippe and Gilbert. The course was completed in one hour and a half. Songs of the Mennaisian week gave rhythm to the race. This race was offered for the glorification and the beatification of our Venerable Father Founder.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-9887\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lamennais.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/IMG_0412-300x235.jpg\" alt=\"img_0412\" width=\"300\" height=\"235\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lamennais.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/IMG_0412-300x235.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.lamennais.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/IMG_0412-768x601.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.lamennais.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/IMG_0412-1024x802.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.lamennais.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/IMG_0412-260x204.jpg 260w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>After this Mennaisian race, the community of the Novitiate welcomed the Brothers from Ogaro and Mango, plus the pre-Postulants from Ogaro for a beautiful Eucharistic celebration presided over by the parish priest, Father Soler accompanied by the Chancellor of the diocese, Father Gilbert L\u00e9bine. A very fraternal meal followed this celebration.
