Celebration of Youth Homes<\/strong><\/h2>\n

On June 4th<\/sup>, 2025, in a Beautiful Celebration presided over by Bishop Jean-Pierre Cottanceau of Papeete<\/em><\/strong>, Our Church gave thanks for the Homes that welcome young people from the Islands who come to study in Tahiti.<\/p>\n

Those Homes are not just Places of Passage. They are Homes of Life, Faith, and Support. They provide a Stable, Loving, and Structured Environment for young people who are often separated from their Families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MJFM enlivened the Mass with its Voices, Instruments and Heart, in the Service of that Mission of Welcome.<\/p>\n

MJFM on the Airwaves of Radio Maria no te Hau<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Mennaisian Family Youth Movement (MJFM) had the Immense Joy of participating in the Wikizik Program, Broadcast Live on Radio Maria no te Hau<\/em><\/strong>, the Catholic Radio Station in French Polynesia, affiliated with the Global Radio Maria Network.<\/p>\n

During an hour of Live Broadcast, the MJFM shared Songs of Praise carried by the Voices and Hearts of Young People, a Lively Presentation of the Movement and its Educational and Spiritual Mission, an overview of Our Projects: Colonies, Retreats, Evangelistic Missions and Field Actions.<\/p>\n

The Evening opened with a Prayer from Brother Xavier, whom we deeply thanked for his Faithful Guidance and Unwavering Support. His presence embodied the Mennaisian Spirit of Fraternity and Service.<\/p>\n

Tahitian Games Atmosphere<\/em><\/p>\n

From May 26TH<\/sup> \u00a0to 30TH<\/sup> , 2025, the Mennaisian Family Youth Movement (MJFM) organized a Memorable Camp in the premises of the Saint-Joseph High School in Punaauia, bringing together 44 young people from CM1 to 3e and 15 Animators, around a strong theme: \u201cMy Culture, my Identity\u201d<\/p>\n

At an age when Adolescents are searching for their bearings, that Camp allowed them to return to their Roots, to understand where they came from, to better know where to go. As Jean-Marie de la Mennais said: “We must elevate the Whole Person, his Mind, Heart, and Will.” And Pope Francis, in Querida Amazonia, reminded us: “Young people have the Right to Dream and Aspire to a better life, but they must also be rooted in the Wisdom of their people.”\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Week punctuated by Culture and Faith<\/strong><\/em>: \u2022 ‘Ava Ceremony (Traditional Polynesian Welcoming Ritual) to honor the Place, Ancestors and the Young People. \u2022 Tu’aro M\u0101’ohi Games (Polynesian Sports Games): Pleasure of Movement, Healthy competition and surpassing oneself. \u2022 Educational Ahi m\u0101’a: the young people prepared that Traditional Oven from A to Z (Digging, Preparing the Fire, and Cooking<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That Camp was much more than a Vacation. It was a place of Human, Spiritual, and Cultural Growth, where each young person was able to experience a Powerful Sense of meaning and brotherhood. A young person who knows his Roots is a young person capable of going far. And at MJFM, we believe that every child was a Treasure to be revealed.<\/p>\n
