The FIC Scholasticate of Abidjan has 18 Scholastics, including ten in the First Year, two in the Second Year and six in the Third Year. The Formation Team is composed of 5 Brothers. Several Nationalities rub shoulders this year: Togolese, Beninese, Haitians, Congolese, French, Chadian, Malagasy, Senegalese.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This year, we are having a special experience as Pilgrims on the path of prayer within the Synodal Church. The Jean de La Mennais Community welcomes three Brothers of Saint Gabriel<\/strong>, including two scholastics in their second year at CELAF and their trainer, Brother Jean Gr\u00e9goire COLY.<\/p>\n

In Pilgrim Mode on the Path of Prayer, the Scholasticate aims to be a Community that brings joy and hope in everyday life. Trusting in divine Providence, the Brothers lend each other mutual support to go to God and carry out his work.<\/p>\n

A<\/strong> Community bringing Joy and Hope<\/strong><\/p>\n

In order for the Community to radiate Joy, Beauty and Fraternity, the participation of each Brother is requested during meetings, Community prayers, celebrated Eucharists, times of sport and games, meals and community spiritual reading, the Celebration of Birthdays. Jean Marie de la Mennais aimed at the Formation of the whole man, which explains the objective of the Scholasticate to remain faithful to the vision of the Founder.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This joy is particularly experienced in fraternal sharing and collaboration at various levels. Every Sunday, the community gathers in the aperitif room for a time of sharing and entertainment. During the week, we are very busy, even jostled by the academic activities of CELAF and others; so this time allows us to take a break. It is hope that lives within us and it is this hope that we want to communicate to each other in a fraternal atmosphere.<\/p>\n

The pilgrim is the one who takes his staff and walks. In this perspective, here we are at the Basilica of Our Lady of Peace of Yamoussoukro<\/strong> for the pilgrimage organized by the Conference of Major Superiors of Ivory Coast, with the theme: “pilgrims of hope on the path to peace” on February 1 and 2, 2025. It was a very beautiful experience of synodality whose graces continue to flood us.<\/p>\n
