On September 15th<\/sup> , the Superior General sent the 3 Missionary Brothers to Timor Leste. <\/strong>That day, two were present. The 3rd, Brother Philippe Douti, had been prevented from reaching Plo\u00ebrmel due to lack of a Visa.<\/p>\n

On September 15th<\/sup> , 2024, at the Mother House of Plo\u00ebrmel, Our 3 Missionary Brothers were sent: Brothers Christian,\u00a0 St\u00e9phane and Brother Philippe Douti, absent.<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n

Now all 3 have arrived in Portugal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Our Brothers Visiting, Discoveries, Cultural Immersion in Lisbon<\/p><\/div>\n

“Today Brother Te\u00f3filo, from the Marist Community of Carcavelos who is hosting us, took us to the Language Center where starting next Monday, September 30th<\/sup> , Brother Christian, Philippe and I will begin An Intensive Portuguese Course. We are at the beginning of “getting our bearings.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Once our Course Schedule is established and we have integrated into the Host Community, we would be able to set up a First Small Community Project while continuing to get to know each other.<\/em><\/p>\n

Thank you for your encouragement and prayers<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

This learning of the Portuguese language (The Official Language of East Timor) would last until the end of the year.<\/p>\n

\"\"Then Next January, Brothers St\u00e9phane, Christian and Philippe would go to Dili (Capital of East Timor).<\/strong> They would be welcomed into a Community of the Society of the Divine Word.<\/p>\n

New Intensive Language Course: learning Tetum<\/strong>, another Official Language of the Country.<\/p>\n

After a few Months in Dili, they would go to the Diocese of Baucau<\/strong>, and would place themselves at the disposal of the Local Church.<\/p>\n
