LIVE FROM THE CASA, ROME.  12 Visitors welcomed with Joy at the Generalate <\/em><\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s une longue p\u00e9riode de calme, due \u00e0 la Covid, la Casa, riche de ses 12 Fr\u00e8res, a repris son rythme d\u2019activit\u00e9s, avec les d\u00e9parts et les arriv\u00e9es ainsi que sa mission d\u2019accueil. L’an prochain, la Casa sera organis\u00e9e sous la forme de deux communaut\u00e9s de Fr\u00e8res. R\u00e9cit par <\/strong>F. Herv\u00e9 Asse, secr\u00e9taire g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de la Congr\u00e9gation et sup\u00e9rieur de la Casa<\/strong><\/p>\n

La communaut\u00e9 de la Casa n\u2019a pas \u00e9chapp\u00e9 au virus, et la fin du Car\u00eame ainsi que la semaine sainte ont \u00e9t\u00e9 marqu\u00e9s par des p\u00e9riodes de confinement des uns et des autres, puisque 8 Fr\u00e8res sur 12 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e0 un moment donn\u00e9 positifs\u2026 avec de l\u00e9gers sympt\u00f4mes, mais sans cons\u00e9quence grave.<\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s la semaine sainte, nous avons d\u2019abord accueilli le Conseil g\u00e9n\u00e9ral des Filles de la Providence de St Brieuc et le Fr\u00e8re Yannick Houssay<\/strong>. Une rencontre avec la Congr\u00e9gation pour la vie consacr\u00e9e -CIVCSVA- avait \u00e9t\u00e9 programm\u00e9e depuis longtemps. Les s\u0153urs sont reparties heureuses de cette rencontre, et actuellement nous sommes en union de pri\u00e8re avec elles, suite \u00e0 leur chapitre g\u00e9n\u00e9ral tenu \u00e0  l\u2019Ile Blanche, Finist\u00e8re, France.<\/p>\n

Puis la Casa, \u00e0 l\u2019occasion de la rencontre internationale des Sup\u00e9rieures g\u00e9n\u00e9rales -UISG- \u00e0 Rome, a accueilli 5 Sup\u00e9rieures g\u00e9n\u00e9rales : 3 congolaises<\/strong> -une d\u2019une Congr\u00e9gation de Dungu, et deux d\u2019Isiro-, une Rwandaise<\/strong> (Kigali) et la S\u0153ur Mariannick Caniou<\/strong>, SG des S\u0153urs de la Pommeraye.<\/p>\n

After a long period of calm, due to Covid,19 the Casa, with its 12 Brothers, has resumed its rhythm of activities, with Arrivals and Departures as well as its Mission of Welcome. Next year, the Casa will be re- organized in the form of two Communities of Brothers. Bro Herv\u00e9 Asse, Secretary General of the Congregation and Superior of the Casa, is telling us:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Casa Community has not escaped the virus, at the end of Lent as well as during the Holy Week were marked by periods of Confinement of some Brothers, of which 8 Brothers out of 12 were at one time positive… with slight symptoms, but without serious consequences.<\/p>\n

A great diversity at the Casa all these weeks! A great house…<\/em><\/p>\n

After Holy Week, we first welcomed the General Council of the Daughters of Providence from St Brieuc and Brother Yannick Houssay.<\/strong> A meeting with the Congregation for Consecrated Life -CICLSAL- had been planned for a long time. The Sisters left happy after this Meeting, and we are currently in union of prayer with them, following their General Chapter held in Ile Blanche, Finist\u00e8re, France.<\/p>\n

Then the Casa, during the occasion of the International Meeting of Superior Generals -UISG- in Rome, welcomed 5 Superior Generals: 3 Congolese -one from a Congregation in Dungu, and two from Isiro-, one from Rwanda (Kigali) and Sister Mariannick Caniou, Superior General of the Sisters of La Pommeraye (France).<\/p>\n

The Brothers of the General Council<\/strong>, who had taken up their Pilgrim’s staff again, have returned little by little for their next Council Session, which began on 16th<\/sup> May2022. We also welcomed Pierre and Roselyne Serrand<\/strong> – Mennaisian Associates from Cancale, France – who came to make their pilgrimage to Rome, and especially to experience the Canonisation of Father de Foucauld, a key witness in their life and journey.<\/p>\n

Finally, at the en of May, we will welcome Father Dossous, SG of the Priests of St James, who will come for the Meeting of the Union of Superior Generals.<\/p>\n

The Casa Community is also preparing for the departure and welcome of confreres:<\/strong> Br. Daniel Briant and Joseph Bellanger<\/strong> would be leaving the Casa for New Missions that will be entrusted to them; 2 students (Br. Victor and Br. Rony will be leaving the Casa); Br. Eugene Mwesigye<\/strong> will also be leaving the Reception duties….<\/p>\n

The arrival of the Italian Brothers at the Casa will also bring about a new organisation and distribution of some of the Casa’s Services. From now on there will be two Distinct Communities at the Casa, but with many Community and Spiritual links. Finally, two new students, one from Uganda and one from Congo, will complete the Casa 2022-2023.<\/p>\n
