\u201cLord, he whom you love is sick!\u201d <\/strong>This was the gospel text of Sunday, 29th<\/sup> March. “I am the resurrection \u00a0and the life,” said the Lord. <\/strong>“He who believes in me will never die.” (Jn 11:1-45). <\/strong>The death of the six Brothers of the entire Community of the Infirmary of Berrio-Otxoa, Bilbao between the 22nd<\/sup> \u00a0and 30th<\/sup> March, 2020 is a shock. The daily presence of Infirmary Staff to the Brothers was \u00a0remarkable. A celebration will take place when circumstances permit. The whole of the International Mennaisian Family is associated with the suffering of the communities and laity of Spain.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On 21st<\/sup>March, Brother Rafael Alonso, Provincial of Spain, announced that Brothers Lucas S\u00e1inz<\/strong> (98), Javier Garc\u00eda<\/strong> (76) and D\u00e1maso Cereceda<\/strong> (78), who were in the Infirmary of Berrio-Otxoa, Bilbao, as well as Bro Pablo Garc\u00eda <\/strong>(90), from the community of Berrio-Otxoa, Bilbao, had been transferred to the Santa Marina hospital of Bilbao – Bilbao suburbs- with symptoms and positive tests of Covid 19.<\/p>\n

On 22nd<\/sup> \u00a0March, Bro Virgilio Guierrez<\/strong> (80) died in the Infirmary of Berrio-Otxoa and on 23rd<\/sup> \u00a0March Bro Efr\u00e9n Fern\u00e1ndez<\/strong> (88) died at Santa Marina hospital.<\/p>\n

Brother Lucas S\u00e1inz<\/strong>, died on 27th<\/sup> \u00a0March, Bro D\u00e1maso Cereceda<\/strong>, on 28th<\/sup> \u00a0March, Bro Javier Garc\u00eda<\/strong>, on 29th<\/sup> \u00a0March and Bro Pablo Garc\u00eda,<\/strong> on 30 March, 2020.<\/p>\n
