IN URUGUAY
In 1956, the Brothers from Argentina agree on settling in Montevideo. They open a primary school. As the years go by, and to meet demand, the school becomes La Mennais Institute which provides primary, secondary and preparatory classes for 1500 students.
In February 2001, two brothers settle in the Maldonado Nuevo parish, located 100 km to the East of Montevideo, where they offer classes for academic backing to children, aged 6-12, during the week, and help the parish priest for the animation of the parish during the weekend. Their work is supported financially by the La Mennais Institute of Montevideo. |
