IN TOGO

Ogaro
In 1982, the brothers choose to set up in this village, located in a swamp region, in Northern Togo. The brothers’ arrival causes a real revolution in the agricultural field: formation of farmers to grow crops with harnessed horses, introduction of new crops. While only one brother, the Togolese lay people co-operating, takes care of the whole agricultural formation, three other brothers are involved in village schools. Today 14 schools and about 60 classrooms receive more than 2000 students. School management, formation and pedagogical follow-up for the teachers, constructions, are parts of the work assumed by the community.

Dapaong

Since 1985, a community lives in this city in Northern Togo. The brothers are involved in the animation of a Catholic high school under the supervision of the Brothers of Christian Schools, in Catholic movements and vocational groups. Today, the noviciate of the Vice-Province of Western Africa is located in the heart of this city, characterized by the presence of numerous young Christians and cathecumens.

Aného
Saints-Pierre-et-Paul’s High School is located in the former capital of Togo. The future of this high school depends on the excellence of the given formation and also on its capacity to receive co-ed boarders. The Brothers of Ploërmel took charge of this school in 1994.

Lomé

Since 2002, a house has been fit out at Lomé to serve as a residence for young student brothers

Mango
With the new school year, Bishop Hanrion High School opens at Mango, in Northern Togo. Two Togolese brothers assume responsibility for this new mission: Bro. Romain Somoko and Bro. Augustin Lamboni. For the first time, an assignment in Western Africa is totally taken care of by native brothers.
